relocating to tampa room to rent? (Clearwater, Riverview: RV park, lease, condo)

I am considering relocating to tampa,fl after a recent job loss in charlotte nc, have some severance cash and would like to find inexpensive room for rent , until I can determine where I want to live . My preference is in town Tampa, near the buslines. I have no fear of living in a less than desireable place- this will not be forever ( smile).
My background is banking/financial services and some part time work in retail during the holiday seasons.
Personal info : 48 y.o. male,college grad, divorced , grown children, no pets,

Give us a call, 832-257-8145, we have a long term lease in a 40 years and plus RV park in Riverview (Gibsonton & 301) with 7 month old 36 ft luxury 5th wheel, 4 slide outs, fully equipped, king size bed, etc. Park has large heated pool and 2 hot tubs.

Great choice. I was thinking of the same idea. I have a home there but tied up in illinois with different things. I wanted to sell my home but obviously no such luck. I am renting the condo unit if you have interest. 2 bed, 2 bath 3/4 mile from the gulf and the beach/forest preserve about a mile away. Asking $1000 a month. The units a built 2001. Clearwater and sarasota are some of my top choices too. Not sure of prices there but it is pretty easy getting around the wholt tampa area. I enjoy apollo beach because it is in the middle of all the areas i enjoy.
