1) Who makes the best mojitos at a reasonable price?

2) Where's the best grouper sandwich?

(These questions are vital to my health and wellbeing!)

Not sure about the mojitos but Frenchys on Clearwater Beach has an awesome grouper sandwich and Ive heard Dockside Daves Grill on St Pete Beach is great as well, there's also a bar on the East side of Gulf Blvd in Indian Rocks Beach (not sure of the name) but they have awesome grouper quesadillas yum yum

There was an issue disclosed by the media a few years back about local restaurants serving another type of fish and calling it grouper. OMG! I think exposing the problem would take care of that, but who really knows?

The best grouper sandwich I've eaten lately was at The Hurricane. Hooters used to have a pretty good one if you can tolerate the noise. IMO, Frenchy's was good several years ago, but the last time I ate there the fries were undercooked, the fish was overcooked, and the cole slaw was warm. I was not a happy diner.

I don't have an answer for the mojito question either. Maybe someone will chime in soon.

Tampa Karen - i used to like the grouper sandwhich at Hurricane also, but last two times it was way overcooked, service real spotty..good place for drinks on the rooftop.

Dockside Dave's has some great Grouper Sandwhichs...and ive never been dissapointed with Hula Bay/Duke's Grouper Sandwhich or Mojitos!! YUMMY!

Dockside Dave's is great! The food at The Hurricane has been disappointing the last couple times I was there, too. It's hard to beat drinks at sunset on their roof though - lovely. The little beach grill, right across the street from The Hurricane, had surprisingly good food.

This is crazy! Though I don't go there too often, I ate at the Hurricane on Wednesday, two weeks ago, and it was very good. Now, after reading two not so good reviews, I think it's time for me to find another favorite restaurant for Grouper sandwiches.

I have to agree with the majority. Dockside Dave's is best. Palm Pavillion is also great but they put american cheese on theirs. I always ask for it without cheese.
