Call Pool Guard (727-571-1525) or 888-876-4005. They're the manufacturer of both the pool fence and the pool safety net. They're one of the largest manufacturers in the country and they're located right here in Pinellas County. You can't go wrong with Pool Guard.

Any more suggestion?

I got a great deal (a steal) on a child safety fence through Craig's List.

Don't you need to dig a hole through the concrete to put the safety fence/net?

yes you need to dig a hole to install it. You may find the fence itself cheaper, all tho I don't know why would anyone sell that fence by itself! You can google and there will be a lot of company coming up to choose from.

I don't know why you want to dig a hole, wouldn't using a drill be easier?
Only way I've ever seen it done.

I haven't done that, hence asking here. Is that a do you it yourself kind of things? I can then try but what I see in some people places is that you need some, say, 6 inches or so hole in the concrete to put the net.

If it were me and I wanted to put one in myself, I would get a drill a 1/2 " or so bigger than the diameter of the net poles and drill through the deck and allow for plenty of room to put an epoxy around the poles to anchor them in. The poles have to have something to anchor them so the kids just can't yank it out of the deck and go to the pool.

That's just me though, I don't think it's the greatest project for a do it yourselfer to attempt and I'd probably call one of those safety net companies to check it out (of course they're gonna try and sell you a new one), after it was done. Pool decks are probably 4 to 6" thick yeah, but the important thing is the epoxy, usually comes in two containers and you mix the two together and fill the hole around the pole so it can't be taken out after it sets.

I would have never thought anyone would think to "dig a hole" (through concrete no less) with their hands! of course I meant using a drill! how else would you dig a hole through concrete?

I would have someone professionally install it tho...or just have the kids learn how to swim, this is Florida after all! we are pretty much surrounded by water, they'll have to learn at some point anyways!

We don't have a fence around the pool anymore and I had my kids in swim school, now they are really enjoying the pool! and we avoided the expense of having a fence installed.

EACH panel is usually about 3 1/2 - 4 feet wide, so you will have to put a hole every 3 1/2 - 4 feet apart, depending on HOW big your pool is, you may have like 20 holes by the time you're done...It takes a while and it is noisy and in this heat, not so much fun!
