Smile Best Place to watch airplanes?

Just moved here and my son loves to watch planes take off and land where is a good place to watch them here in Tampa/St.Pete?

Hillsborough Ave. If you mapquest the area and look at the aerial view, you will see places to park between Benjamin Rd and Hoover Blvd. I have driven by that area a few times and noticed that would be a nice place to watch the planes come in. There is a bowling alley almost in front of the airport runway called Pin Chasers Veterans.

If they are landing from the south, the BEST place is Cypress Point Park...take Cypress west of Westshore Blvd all the way to the end, there is a little park on the Bay...you will be DIRECTLY underneath them as they land at TIA, and Amazing site to see, your son will love you for this. YOu can also hear the winds cirlcling after the airplane goes by...very cool
