Moving to Tampa and looking for recommendations on marinas
1. Clearwater or Tampa area
2. Cable, electric and water a must and has to accomodate boats over 30ft.
3. FUN marina life a must as well, which would include drinking and partying

Thanks!!!

The problem is going to be finding one with an open space. There are many marinas from Tampa Bay to the Gulf, including one on the Hillsborough River. From Tarpon Springs to Sarasota they are everywhere. Most are party places from what I have seen.

When we were looking to buy a sailboat we were told if you don't buy one that already has a slip you have to get on a waiting list. That was a several years ago but it had been that way for years previously.

I am not sure if this would work, but the Westshore Yacht Club is really nice and it does have a marina for residents only I believe. Very scenic.
I know I keep mentioning it, I am not affiliated with them at all, but I had several photos shoots there and I love that place...

One other point regarding marina's... some of them will offer barnacle removal at a reduced fee. If not, you will have to go to an independant... unless you do it yourself already. Just throwing it out there...

Good luck in your search.

I stored by boat at Lighthouse Point Marina in St. Petersburg and really enjoyed it there. The Green Iguana Bar next door is fun.
