I'd like to live on the beach in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area -- but I'm looking for a quiet one with low traffic.

Which beach city do you feel is the Tampa area's quietest? (I would like to live within about an hour and fifteen minutes of the main airport, if possible).

What is your budget? What do you mean by quiet?

There are not a lot of places to live that have beaches in Tampa, plus they are on the bay not the gulf.

If you want to live on the beach I would say Treasure Island to Pass-A-Grille are the best bets. They are all relatively close to 1-275 and the airport is about 30 minutes away. I visit Pass-A-Grille and Fort Desoto with my family weekly.

Belleair Beach, hands down. There's absolutely no commercial or multifamily buildings, except one motel that must've been grandfathered in. Quiet, but dull.

1st choice-Pass A Grille
2nd choice-Pass A Grille
3rd choice-Pass A Grille

When you see that as my location, you'll know I hit the Powerball!

My daughter has lived there and we have rented there, so I can definitely say it is very quiet.
