Home prices in the Tampa area are still falling like a rock. I lost a good 70% on my house since 05.

2005. What a lousy time to invest in real estate.

Was a great time to sell though!

Was home bought for speculation or did you buy it to live in and keep?

70% real loss off of purchase price or 70% off the peak bubble price?

Even if prices had increased slightly over the last 6 months, which I realize they have not, they would still show a decrease year over year. Just trying to look at the whole picture.

No clue. You can buy homes in my area for 30 to 60k all day long. What very few big homes on the water that were going for 800k are now under 400k and no one is buying them.

I lost 70% on what i could have sold it for in late 05. I bought it in 04 and lost a good 50% if i were to sell it now. I bought my house to stay for a while. All the other home i flipped and did pretty good before everything fell like a rock.

So your first post was based on no actual facts.

Not really helpful when someone asks where home prices are heading.
