Hi everyone,

A little about myself. I'm a 4 year teacher in NYC. I also coach a few sports.

In the few years I have been doing this, Iv seen so many changes. They have really started to ruin the teaching career. I mostly do paperwork it seems and can never catch up with all that is demanded. The teaching is maybe 15% of what I do. I feel so spent when I go home everyday. Often I will have to do work at home. I was thinking about applying to teach overseas. Usajobs.gov has many posting on teaching at military bases. I have almost nothing holding me down here and have always wanted to travel. Does anyone have an experience the process of being a teacher overseas an one of the American schools?

Thanks

Nowadays, it's very popular among people, who can't find a good job in native country. I am a young teacher and I have this problem. I've heard it's easy to find a good job in other countries and it will be also paid worthy. But you need much money to go abroad and work there. There are a lot of different programms all over the world which supplies such services. As for me, there are two sides in this case. First, it's quite difficult to leave your native country and adapt to another life. Second, if your country doesn't support you and you need money to live good, you are to go abroad to search a work for you.

I have close friend who went to another country and found a good job. It was difficult for her to leave but she had to. She doesn't have father, only mother and she used to live a poor live. When she finished the university she could not find a good job in her native country. She was young and she didn't have an experience, that's why she had a little money to live. She could only pay for her flat and spent money for eat. Because of these facts she dicided to work in another country. Now she is working and getting a high salary. She doesn't want to come back. I think it is wonderful example, but you should remember that noboby safe from fail.

I have a friend from California teaching English in Mongolia, in the main city. Had a crash course in the language and is barely proficient. She had zero teaching experience. Was already there for the Peace Corps for a year but quit. Got hired by a business that offers English classes. They arranged for her visa and everything. She says that Mongolians are very ambitious to learn English.
