Really?! I could never do it (again!). But then, I have always preferred older students--I love teaching at the university level. Me standing in front of a class room full of middle schoolers is kind of like an ostrich standing in front of a bowl of jellybeans (i.e., there's nothing about those two that go together! )

Personally, there is no way I would ever teach middle school--as far as I have heard from other teachers (and taking into account my one year of teaching 7-8), middle is the most difficult level to teach; with all of those hormones flying around, it is very challenging getting the students to focus and/or maintaining control of the class.
I actually think I could go back and do middle school. I've had a pretty good amount of experience with them and am comfortable with their strange ways

Haha yeah they can be a lot of fun. I appreciate that they actually "get" sarcasm pretty well.

Then I would definitely go for it! When I was looking for a job, I definitely remember there being more postings for middle school teachers. High school positions were less available and K-6 even less so. So, I think that you have a really good profile for someone looking to get back into teaching.
