Look into working for one of the educational companies. Maybe in textbook development, testing, etc. you have a masters and enough experience to know you should be somewhere else in education instead of the front of the class. There is an entire industry you could work in where you could still be using your degrees without dealing with classroom management.

If you have difficulty communicating with people, teaching is the wrong profession. Sounds like you would be happier working alone instead of with people. Nothing wrong with that, it's just who you are. But look to those professions where you work with things other than working with people. Writing and editing sounds reasonable. Perhaps try to start your own business.
If you're really set on teaching maybe try working as an assistant for a few years and learn by watching. Have you been told you will not be getting a contract next year?

If you had followed the threads on this you would know that there comes a time to throw in the proverbial towel. The OP is unhappy in the profession, constantly struggling, and this is doing no favors for the most important people involved -- the kids.
Also, why do you think I can't teach? Don't you think they would have recognized a problem this serious during student teaching and not given me a teaching degree if I actually couldn't do the job? What do you think is keeping me from succeeding in this field, and how, if there is a way, do you think I could become successful in a teaching-related field?
Stop blaming others for your problems. It is not the responsibility of a school to assess long term career viability of its students. A student signs up for a certain degree and they are allowed to pursue their chosen path.
As far as career, you already have documented teaching experience. Transition into being a corporate trainer or something related where you teach adults.
The question is can you communicate a message to any audience?

And that means she is NOT "admitting defeat," she's making a rational choice to change careers in order to find one which is a better fit for her. There's no shame in realizing that you went into a field you're really not suited for! OP, you're doing the right thing, and I wish you luck in finding a better career path for yourself.

I will second this. Krmb -- I've followed your threads for several years. I hope that you can get some professional career counseling to make the transition into something where you will be less stressed and more successful.

I didn't use the term "admitting defeat". That was from the OP.
