Well, if it were me, I wouldn't care whether they listed jobs or not. I would have a resume, find out a little about each of the utilities in the area I was interested it, find out how is the person who makes the hiring decisions, and either call them and offer to send my resume, or at least send my resume with a nice cover letter.

I'll throw out a couple for you: Harpeth Valley Utility District (serving parts of Metro Nashville, Cheatham County, and Williamson County), and Metro Water (the main water utility for Nashville).

You should be able to find a list of all the water utilities in Tennessee somewhere. It might take a bit of Googling. There is probably even some organization that they all belong to, such as the National Association of Water Utilities, or something like that. I know there's some kind of national organization for meter readers . . . because they had a convention in Nashville one time. We all got a good laugh about that . . . a meter readers convention ("Our seminar today will be 'Reading Numbers' . . . ").

Default Water Treatment Jobs

h.y.f., I was involved in water and wastewater treatment several years ago.

Try this link...Tennessee Association of Utility Districts

The classifieds section should have jobs listed and you can contact this organization to help you if you have any questions about transferring your current license to Tennessee.

Wink Use your google and you can find city and county DPW departments.

Pick your town, google it, go to the link that is either a .gov or .ci.tn or a .org. For instance for Blount County, TN Blount County Government Home Page is blountcounty.org . Look up the Department of Public Works for each city and they will list their water department, wastewater, planning department, etc. I have been to many for Tennessee and other states. You will find the dept. director and contact information.

Also, each town government or city website will have a link to their town employees. This list will include a Human Resources Department or Personnel Department. HR will have an online application or a contact number and address.

Best of everything to you in your search. Let us know what you find.
Start sending out concise, not wordy, resumes to as many as you can and you will probably hit something in no time.
