LOS ANGELES (Jan. 16) - Brad Renfro was a street-smart Tennessee schoolboy plucked from obscurity in 1993 to play the title role in "The Client."

The film's success brought him instant stardom, but struggles with drugs and alcohol dogged his career. On Tuesday, he was found dead in his home. He was 25.

Unhappy Brad Renfro...

He was a good actor. I saw him a few years back in a movie aired on HBO called "Bully", it was a true story based here in Palm Bay, Fl. It was surreal and he should have recieved an award for his acting. It was a strange movie, but his acting was great. I couldn't believe it when I read that he dies, so sad he was so young and an only child at that .

It appears that Hollywood is a jinx for young actors now days.So many have died at a young age over the past several years, not to mention all the ones that end up in Rehab.

Yep I agree. That's why you do hear a lot of the actors and performers that live away from the Hollywood scene to try to have some normalcy to their lives. Having fun is ok sometimes but when it becomes your whole existance where you can't break free it's a shame. He was an only child too.
