What is the general healthcare in Tennessee like...such as primary care doctor availability, good hospitals, etc. especially near the towns? Thanks.

Probably just about like any other State.
Honestly, major metropolitan areas will have the largest hospitals. The smaller and more rural counties not so much.
You would have to be a lot more specific to get a better answer.
I live in Knoxville. There are several hospitals in the general area. and a large choice of medical clinics and physicians. Go to some of the rural counties surrounding Knoxville, and the choices are more limited.

It depends on the town. My hometown had one hospital. Any kind of specialized care was an hour away in Nashville. My hometown wasn't entirely rural either. Healthcare is proabably average in the state tbh.

I live in the Tri-Cities.

We can treat basic conditions, but pretty much anything complicated gets bounced to UT Medical Center. If I had complicated medical needs, I would want to live fairly close to Knoxville or Nashville. I have no idea what’s available in Memphis or Chattanooga.

There's good health care in the big 4 cities and their suburbs. smaller cities, like the Tri-Cities, Cookeville, Clarksville, and Jackson have hospitals that can do some basic things, but probably not more specialized procedures. Outside of that, its a bit of a wasteland. A lot of rural hospitals have closed or a struggling to stay open over the past several years.

Memphis is the home base of UTHSC and St. Jude. You can get almost any procedure done there.
