The Oak Ridge Observer (free weekly newspaper) included a 32 page supplement in its Feb 1, 2007 edition on community growth. The town game plan has always been to grow the town from approximately 27,000 to 35,000 by 2012. I thought I would list some of the new growth or growth planned for the town – housing, retail and business/government - because even if you don’t plan to live in Oak Ridge, some of you may be interested in jobs or shopping.
