Question Lafayette, north of Nashville~Need More Info About Town and Living There???

I am thinking about moving to Lafayette, north of Nashville. I have found a cute house, and can not find very much info about living there. I know there are about 5,000 people there.

Am wondering if there are small town activities, i.e. tree lighting at Christmas, other things, etc.????????

Is there decent medical care at Macon County Hospital, and grocery shopping in town?????

I am retired, so can drive to Nashville once a week for things I can't get in Lafayette....looking for a small town atmosphere. Please help

Lafayette is wonderful. There is Christmas on the Square every year. They have a nice Senior Center and lots of activities throughout the year. I love it here, I love from Florida almost 3 years ago. There is a Super Wal-Mart, Piggly Wiggly, Save-a-lot, Tractor Supply. Really everything you need on a daily basis. We go to Bowling Green, KY for the mall and other bigger town stores about once a month. Gallatin is only about 30 miles always for more restaurant choices as well. There a places to eat here in town too though. People are friendly.
