We are traveling from New Jersey to Hot Springs, Arkansas and need to find a hotel off Route 40 in the area north of Lexington but east of Jackson. Does anyone have any suggestions. I found a Days Inn In Lexington but have no idea how safe the area is for travelers. Can anyone please help me?

Thanks for responding.

IIRC, the Days Inn in Lexington is right on the main stretch of town and is near Beech Lake. The area is just fine.

Hope you stop by and see Lexington as you are passing through to Hot Springs. You don't have to worry about your safety here. I have been a resident for over thirteen years. We have a very low crime rate despite the drug busts now and then plaguing our country. We have beautiful Beech Lake in the city limits, and Natchez Trace state park with horseback riding ten minutes away in our county. If you would like to rest a little longer with us we also have a golf course, and Scotts' BBQ that was chosen one of the top five in the nation! I love it here and hope you stop by our city hall and let them know you Googled Lexington,Tn. Who knows, maybe the mayor will take you for a BBQ himself.
