Drove from Denver to Steamboat Springs and stopped at Silverthorne on the way there and Kremmling the way back. It was pretty amazing how quickly you get 100 miles. Crazy efficient at the low end of charging!
Kremmling is a very rural town in north central Colorado and the superchargers are located around the back of a gas station and convenience store. When I pulled in, there were two big diesel pickup trucks parked in supercharger spots despite regular parking spaces available right nearby and closer to the convenience store. It was clear these guys were trying to make a point. So strange to me.
I had an old timer get out of one of the trucks and walk over and stare at me as I was plugging the car in. He told me he was just curious how it worked. The door that covers the charger port decided not to open at that very moment. That’s only ever happened to me in snow storms before. Funny timing as I stood there messing with the door. He walked away rather unimpressed.
