The big snow is coming--what to do?

Here's my checklist, anything anyone else can add

stock up on food. Even if the storm doesn't hit your area, it hits supply routes and grocery stores could have shortages for several days

today I bought :

milk
water
bread
cat food
cat litter
toilet paper
crackers
peanut butter
spaghetti and stew fixings
cake mix

Also, replenish perscription meds if needed

At home, drain outside pipes and hoses, wrap outside pipes with insulation.

If they're out of pipe insulation material, improvise by wrapping layers of newspapers around exposed pipes and secure with duct tape

Have a manual can opener, if you haven't figured out how to use it by now, figure it out!

prepare for possible power failures. Stock up on batteries, flashlights, etc.

Also, prepare for possible loss of hot water. Wash all clothes now that need it, don't want to weather the storm stinking!

Cook up something you can eat cold, like a stew.

make sure you have plenty of drinking water.

Please, bring pets inside, and cover plants, etc.

Fill up your gas tank, if it goes below half, you could get fuel line freeze.

Call in sick tomorrow, WTH, they will just send you home early, anyways!

So, did I miss anything?

You didn't include stocking up on the basic necessities: Shiner Bock and cigarettes.

Heavens to Betsy and Katie bar the door! You'd feel a lot better, though, if Texas had more snow plows.

Prefer red wine and Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA myself.

We've got one, up in the Panhandle. What else do we need?
