We moved here from PA 5 years ago. Love the area and the activities. The lifestyle is a slower pace and the people are friendly. The problem we are having is we spent the last 5 years helping take care of our grandson and did not make friends. Meeting people for us is not easy. We like several kinds of movies and music. Enjoy dinner with friend either in or eating out.We go to the festivals in nearby towns. We would enjoy having other people to do things with. I would like to go shopping with the girls and he would like to go to the VFW with the guys.We have a good sence of humor and laugh a lot.

I don't live in the area, but I'm good at searching the web. Try volunteering or getting involved with these organizations to get to know more people.

Senior Citizens Center 901 South Live Oak Street, Lampasas, TX 76550 (512) 556-3858 () ‎

Meals on Wheels - Lampasas, TX

Get involved with any local recreational groups that you might be interested in. Getting out more and getting to know more people will help expand your circle of friends.

I'm not much of a church goer, but for some people that helps expand their social circle.

Getting involved with any of the local recreation or business organizations can also help.

Lampasas Chamber Of Commerce

Definitly get involved with the VFW.

Best wishes, R

I understand, that makes it tough. Most people meet their friends through work, church, school, clubs or social organizations where they can meet other people who share common interests. Since you expressed an interest in the VFW, that is a good place to start. You need to get out and mix more in order to meet new friends.
