I've been reading this board for some time now and I'm looking for advice. My husband and I are looking to relocate to the Dallas area. We hate New England weather, so we need a change. My husband has been laid off for almost a year now with no prospects for a job up here in Mass. He was a warehouse manager for a local appliance store but got laid off when business wasn't going good and they started to combine job functions. He likes warehouse, likes physical work and would probably go nuts if he got stuck behind a desk. He doesn't even mind if he's a manager or not. I know no place is perfect when it comes to jobs but through my research this seems to be the area with a lot of warehouse type jobs. Up here is Mass, there is nothing, maybe a few a week for the entire state. I'd just like to get some advice from someone that lives there.

We rent right now, and have to be out by summer. Our landlords (family) are converting the house into a one family home and they've been generous enough to postpone their plans a year but now they need us out. My husband just started looking a few weeks ago in this area because we have lost hope of finding a job up here. Like I said, I know no place is perfect for jobs, but this seems to be the place where he would have the most luck. If he doesn't hear back from anything, we're thinking about just throwing caution to the wind and moving down there with nothing, and hoping he finds a job eventually. At this point, with us needing to be out of our rental, and his unemployment almost at it's end, this seems like our best option. We have a little bit in savings, but would need to find something within a few months. Is it possible to find jobs in warehouse remotely, or would it be easier to have an address in the state. Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Move to Arlington because there is plenty of shopping and a amusement park and Arlington park has a ball park and cowboys stadium the largest in the country.
