First off do not worry about �� there not really that many out there. To be honest hail is a bigger pain but that is a 1 in 20 year average for people and you end up getting a new roof.

You almost certainly better off in North Texas for both jobs and opportunity. Dallas is like Los Angeles 40 years ago and is growing a lot. You have a lot choices for industries too.

Houston is ok but the majority of jobs are centered on the oil industry so that is an issue. With Austin you have government and tech jobs but there smaller tech then Dallas and pay less. San Antonio is a Millitary town. Some other jobs there but the best ones deal with the military.

Dallas also has much bigger airport with direct flights. Houston is ok. Everywhere not so much.

Texas Hill Country is a region in central Texas.




Rent and cost of living is higher while wages are lower in Austin due to the large numbers of people moving here.
