Hello i am thinking of moving to Angelo in the next few years.Jobs wont be an issue for me.I am looking for a better dating scene.Do yall know if Angelo has a good number of college women and young professional women.I am a Christian so i am not really interested in party types who are real into the whole bar and club party scene.I drink some but I do most of my drinking at home.I am not really ready for a big metro yet.I am church of Christ so i would like to find a like-minded individual.

I have found only one promising church in Angelo and i dont know if it has a young peoples ministry so maybe i would be better off in Abilene or Lubbock or Waco.I have a friend who used to live in Angelo and he said that Angelo is more of a party town and getting drunk place for young singles than a place like Abilene. My dad's favorite possibility for places to live for me is Angelo but I am not for sure it would work for me.Thanks yall.

If you are looking for a church-centered community, Abilene will be better than San Angelo.

Per another thread, you are currently in the Midland-Odessa area. It seems like a lot of your interests would play well in Midland-Odessa, so I am not sure why you'd want to leave there.

If you are looking for a bigger dating pool than Midland-Odessa within Texas, perhaps try Fort Worth, given your interests.

Thanks RJ.I appreciate your input.I have just found the dating scene in Midessa to be severely lacking.I havent had any luck.I have only been on a few dates in the past few years. Thanks for the Fort Worth suggestion but like i said earlier I am not ready for a big metro yet. Thanks again.

Why is the dating scene lacking in Midland-Odessa? In a surface level examination, it seems like there could be some decent dating options in Midland-Odessa. Some of the best places for dating are mid-size cities (population 100,000 - 600,000 or so) because it is a large enough pool to have choice (Midland and Odessa combined are like 250,000) but not too large to have a toxic dating scene with too much choice. Something specific to Midland-Odessa might be that the preponderance of oil and gas jobs in the region might have brought in too many males, but there's an oversupply of males in most U.S. cities in the age 18-39 cohort at this time. It can be argued that the largest 4 Texas cities (Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio) would suffer from the too much choice paradox. I've only dated in one of those 4 cities though. I'd argue that Houston and San Antonio might have the healthiest dating ecosystems of the 4 (Dallas is very competitive and status oriented while Austin is strange).

Wherever you go, definitely try and find a more country oriented female. I like your shooting hobby, and there are women out there who would go to a gun range on a date. That's a pretty decent date with the right female. Some females would get turned on by you being into hunting. Hunting is pretty cool. Very masculine and would attract a woman with a strong feminine component, and that can make for a very good relational dynamic. Fishing is an awesome hobby too.

Lubbock is the largest city of the places you mentioned. Solid population at 250,000. Lots of females with Texas Tech. Lubbock might be the best fit. I think Lubbock would probably be better than San Angelo.
