Isn't Williams Tower the tallest building outside of any downtowns in the U.S.?

I can't believe Reunion Tower being the second most pick, it is so ugly. It's just a testi**** with lights on it.

That's what they say, but I find it hard to believe since The Empire State Building is in Midtown Manhattan not Downtown Manhattan.

NYC is so dense & tall this is completely irrelevant. Their skylines seamlessly blend together, unlike in Houston.

Williams Tower is the tallest. Houston has distinctly separate skylines, unlike in NYC.

Nothing in NYC, North America, & quite possibly The World is as freestanding as this:

Tallest outside of the CBD, you mean?

Yes

That's a very outdated pic I posted BTW.

Uptown/Galleria is way more developed than that now. Those grassy lots directly south of Williams Tower contain low rise residential & a new tower. The 610 West Loop has also been completely widened & reworked. There are 5 or 6 other new skyscrapers that got rid of surface lots in that pic.

It was the tallest in the world outside of a CBD. I think Abu Dhabi and Dubai shattered that record.

Dubai were the ones to finally beat Houstons record, but we held that distinction for 25 years or so. pretty impressive.

I voted "Chase"... but now I realize the OP meant the one in Dallas. What I wanted to vote for was the JP Morgan Chase Tower in Houston! Deceptive entry
Anyway, the Williams Tower comes in a close second for me.
