But I feel like I haven't seen anything that's been like these last 6 weeks and there's no end in sight. Heat index was 95 at 10 pm last night.

I've seen it in the past and will likely see it again in the future. Just the fact of this area's weather patterns.

Just brew up some more iced tea and stay hydrated.

I just drink a ton of water. I've been outside in my garage working on shelving and in my actic measuring joists while it's been 107* Ambient outside temps, my actic and closed garage probably much warmer.

Its real scary to think that it's barely mid-July and it's like this. What the heck is August/Sept. gonna look like? This grid thing is now a persistent threat. I know if I weren't a native Texan and this weren't my home, I surely wouldn't move here.

You never know. We've had summer-long heat events (2011) and others that come and go after a month or two, then it switches over to raininess and mid-90s.
