2011 was much worse, at least as far as drought conditions go

I was considering baking some brownies in my pickup, but it's not going to be so hot today. High will only be 100, with a "feels like" of 104. Don't think that will quite cook the brownies.

The sun tea was ready in less than 30 minutes, though...

I had to stand in my garage, up on a freaking ladder, to program my garage door opener. You know why I had to buy a garage door opener? BECAUSE MY OTHER ONE FLIPPED OUT OF MY CAR AND JUST FLEW OUT THE OPEN WINDOW AND WHEN I CIRCLED AROUND TO TRY TO FIND IT, IT WAS SIMPLY NOWHERE TO BE FOUND.

And there's another long, stupid story about why I have NO AC IN MY CAR TILL JULY 19TH!!!!!!!!!!

Guess I can't complain about it being 78 in the garage. I was still sweating though.

I was sweating like a stuck pig, whatever that means.

It's 100 degrees in my garage.

Our E County is getting serious heat, well into the 100s too. We are getting the monsoonal clouds early this year making it a sweatbox.

Good grief, I remember that terrible year. My daughter lived on Barksdale AFB and I traveled back and forth on I-20 to see her. One day I was driving and I noticed how smoky it was, and then I noticed that the grass on either side of the interstate as well as down the center of the interstate was all just smoldering - on fire but not leaping in flames - just smoldering. For miles. All I could think was "I dang sure better not break down."
