At around 5:00pm yesterday a cold front did move across parts of Texas. During the 5:00 news for the weather the temp in CHILDRESS was 75 DEGREES! . Childress is known to be THE HOTTEST place in Texas during the summer and coldest in the winter.

We had a nice breeze most of the day and evening here in the Dallas area and the temps never got to 100 on Sunday. We had a few thunderstorms pop up and go thru the area but it was mostly cloudy for the day. Went out to the park at 6:00-8:30 and it was very enjoyable.

we were in New Braunfels area last week for short vacation--had rain three days for about a hour or two off and on--helped to cool off the days and was not that humid--
started to get hot the day we were leaving...

Down here in Mcallen, TX we don't get cold fronts till September though I do remember one in August in 2002, but anway we hit a high of 79°F on July 7th because of all that rain we had. Wow one day didn't even hit 80 here in July! In June the coolest high was 93°
