Highly doubtful. Go to texas.gov and you can look up all of the requirements. My mom is a realtor and they do have to take x number of classes every year. Every state is different in this field also and the requirements vary. Some states if you can breathe you can get a RE license.

I don't think so. You could probably study for the test and learn alot of the same things about how to hold title to real property and such (these rules are the same across america), but the details are probably a little different so you'd need to study the material the state board wants you to know.

For instance, mineral rights are alot more complex here and often do NOT convey with the land. In CA, they always do....regardless. The residential purchase agreement and the various disclosures are also different here.

But again, if you know the priciples, you'll have not problem learning the differences and re-licensing.

Question Legal resident?

To be a real estate saleperson in Texas one of the requirements is that you have to be a legal resident of Texas. How long does it take to become a "legal" resident?

I wish I could defer my property taxes until I became a legal resident. Actually, I seem to recall there being a residency requirement in CA as well - 1 year?
