Default UFO over Texas.....

Dozens in Texas town report seeing UFO
By ANGELA K. BROWN, Associated Press WriterMon Jan 14, 6:37 PM ET

STEPHENVILLE, Texas - In this farming community where nightfall usually brings clear, starry skies, residents are abuzz over reported sightings of what many believe is a UFO.

Several dozen people — including a pilot, county constable and business owners — insist they have seen a large silent object with bright lights flying low and fast. Some reported seeing fighter jets chasing it.

"People wonder what in the world it is because this is the Bible Belt, and everyone is afraid it's the end of times," said Steve Allen, a freight company owner and pilot who said the object he saw last week was a mile long and half a mile wide. "It was positively, absolutely nothing from these parts."

I find it harder to believe that, with all the technology we have nowadays, including cameras on cell phones, cameras on ipods, digital pocket cameras, etc, no one has been able to take a shot of any UFOs this decade.

Any why does this stuff always happen in small towns?

"People wonder what in the world it is because this is the Bible Belt, and everyone is afraid it's the end of times,"

HAHAHA. News flash: tomorrow's gonna be here, UFO or not!!! Why would these folks be afraid of "the end of times" if their faith is strong anyway? Hmmmm....

I guess imaginations run wild in farm town with nothing else better to do.

Plenty of undeserved TX stereotypes will come out of this I'm sure.

Part of an email received from a friend in Stephenville:

I have had personal sightings, but I am sorry to report that I did not see the UFOs. There were several individuals who reportedly saw the same thing though. There were also people in Cleburne who reported seeing the UFO. The sightings are the talk of the town, the state, and the nation. I heard a report on WBAP and on Paul Harvey News and Comments this morning. Wild stuff!

That's nice, but you'd think someone would have had some real evidence by now. A piece of one.

Then again, we still haven't found Steve Fossett

I grew up part of my life about an hour from Stephenville and this isn't the first time UFOs have been sited in the area.

The town I grew up in is VERY religious, that didn't keep them from insisting they had seen something. Of course their connection was with the end of time as well.
