I don't think you will find what you are looking for. What is the problem with a chair lift, anyway?

Oh I'll find it, may just not be so cheap.

but anyways, if you could only see me get off a lift, you'd know. it usually ends up with someone cursing someone out, and thats not me. although we don't speak french so the cursing may be obsolete!

Mont Ste Anne near Quebec City has a gondola, maybe too far away?

I think your best bet is Gore Mtn. in New York state adirondacks, has a very nice gondola.

Yea thats too far. I heard about Gore Mtn, but it only has 10% beginner runs, would like to have a bit more, i looked at the map and by the gondola there's pretty much just one trail. i dont need too many runs since its a short trip, but i'd like to at least had a little bit a variation.

You just need to learn how to get off a chair lift properly. Trust me, it's not hard. If you are able to ski downhill you should also be able to properly stand up and ski off a chair lift. Gondolas are few and far between in eastern ski resorts.

And between Lodge de la Montagne or Place St-Bernard, which is the better option?

Has anyone tried buying lift tickets from liftopia.com?
