Hi guys, I'm wondering if anyone has experience commuting from the West end of Toronto (near High Park area, Parkdale, Bloor Village, Roncesvalles Village etc.) to Winston Churchill Blvd ( or the west end of Mississauga)?
I am wondering how long it takes you and what traffic is like.
Last summer I was commuting from Guelph to Winston Churchill, and it took me usually about an hour to 45 minutes. Traffic was sometimes very bad.
I assume traffic going in the opposite direction is a little bit better (since it is the less traveled direction), at least visually it seemed like smooth going for cars that were traveling in the opposite direction.
Google maps lists a time of 47 minutes from Guelph to Winston Churchill blvd., while it lists a time of 34 minutes from Parkdale to Winston Churchill.
Obviously they don't ccount for traffic but is it fair to assume that my commute will be a little bit better living in the west end of toronto as opposed to Guelph?
During non rush hour, the commute would be very reasonable. You could that trip (assuming free flowing traffic), in 35 minutes or so. Yes, your commute would be much better to west Mississauga from west Toronto Vs. from Guelph.
