I'm born and raised in Vancouver, and I'm tired of it here. I've got to get out and explore. How is the job market for I.T workers? I'm still entry level as I have only 4 months experience and am a BCIT graduate. I'm also A+ and Network+ certified if that helps

i would say anything realated to IT is pretty easy, but that's not my current field so i cannot be 100% sure. every IT guy that i've worked with has had no problem finding jobs.. i guess it depends on the amount of certification you have, but it's easy to pick up certificates here and there with some courses or programs.

some IT people get paid huge so companies are looking to hire entry level so they can pay much less for the same amount of work... again not my field, but from what i gather from other friends who work in that field.

post graduate also puts you above other because having some sort of degree/diploma is pretty much equivalent to a highschool diploma (in the sense that if you havent' graduated highschool, you're **** outta luck)

You'll have no problem getting a job out here. It's expensive to live, but slightly cheaper than Vancouver.

Competition on the big cities is always as big as the city - but you're in for a threat as '13 is promising to be a good year for job seekers (finally eh!?) Canadian firms expect

Our transit system is embarrasingly outdated, we have the worst traffic in Canada, our weather sucks(from October to March we are the most depressing place on earth) and the nightlife is average at best(everything is closed by 1am).

It sounds like you need a holiday.

I'm with ya on the weather, but I think you'll be disappointed with the traffic in TO, it's pretty bad, and I would guess much worse than Vancouver depending on where you have to commute from. My advice: live close to your job.

Nightlife should be better in TO though.

Entering IT into the Monster.ca job search engine for the Toronto area comes up with 1000 jobs in that field.
IT Jobs in Toronto

So i doubt jobs will be a problem, for habitation i'd check Craigslist for something close to a subway station.

I do. Haven't had a vacation in 2 years, but I can't afford it right now.
