Get real, cars are a city fact, and it is a choice that many people make, just so they DON"T have to ride the TTC, smelling arm pits and dirty socks.

Funny! I actually ditched my car 3 years ago to give the whole PT thing a chance. Smelly people, and not having control of the movement of my body at times was NOT an appealing experience. I was pressed up against far too many people I had no desire to be in such close proximity to. Sure it sucks sitting in traffic at times but at least it is in my own space with my own music and climate control. Anyway my PT venture lasted 1 month and I went out and got another car. Hey, I gave it a shot! I might have succumbed to those unpleasant experiences if there was direct subway access to the airport however - but alas there Is not so couple lack of convenience, longer commute time by PT and unpleasant experiences you noted and the car is a no brainer for me.
