We had same issues till yesterday but I signed a lease today for a house in Mississauga. I voted for oakville since that was my first choice. I hope some Ontarian will give you an educated answer. I'm new so my opinion doesn't count. Good luck!
@curious-mum, v r looking @ mississauga 2 but there r no reasonable options available in nicer pockets, i might take u up on coffee offer someday 1nce i move
@jambo101, thanks 4 replying, u r right but people with limited budget have limited options, mississauga lorne park & port credit have only few & very expensive places available, r there any more good pockets in mississauga?
Well Oakville is home for a lot of Bay Street bankers, middle or SR. Management and professional, the Demographics of Oakville compile of mostly upper middle class, so it is a safe assumption that school, safety etc. are better than Toronto & Mississauga, but housing is also more expensive and you might have a problem of “keeping up with the Jones” mentality, if you like diversity, Oakville is not the right place for you.
Jonses are the ones who should be concerned about keeping up with us, they'll have to stoop really low to meet our minimalist standards. I do value diversity and my children could certainly learn a few lessons from Asian kids about being competitive, hard working and of course abstinence is not a bad virtue either
