Hello,

My current car has over 220K miles on it and needs a new engine.

So I decided I will buy (get a loan) another efficient car (used car).

I drive about 350 miles a week for work and I am heavily considering a used 2013 - 2015 Toyota Corolla with less then 30-40k miles, and cost less then $15K.

What type of Toyota Corolla do you recommend for my situation? I want to be efficient as possible and need a car that is very reliable that I can drive up to 200k+ miles (300K miles if possible.) with little to no mechanical issues.

Thanks,

Get the cheapest one, with the owest mileage you can find. There are no different types of corolla. There's only one engine choice. If you want efficient look for a hybrid

How about a Yaris ? Will run forever just like a Corolla and to me has better room if you get the hatch.

Get the S model if you get. You get better seats.

Get the one that smells the best.
Seriously, I once bought a new corolla in 1983, finally sold it, and the last I heard, it's still going.

Get quotes on a new 2016 ... it may not be much more than $15k (there's a $1500 factory rebate).

Update: my local Toyota dealer quoted a 2016 LE for $16.3 without any negotiations.

All models have the same engine. The S model just adds some trim.
