In 3/2008 I noticed my 92 Toyota Tercel was making metal noises underneath riding and when i braked sounded like the sensor scraping telling me the brakes were worn. I asled for a courtesy inspection and the brakes were good, they just adjusted them, and they noted the following items in need of replacement:
2 struts, strut mount, coil springs, control arm assemblies
i didn't make these repairs yet
last month i noticed the same scraping noise when braking so i took the car to midas again, again the brakes were fine but the 2 front struts were leaking so they replaced them
now i notice a metallic sound under the car at slow speed when braking or accelerating, could it be the parts i never fixed like the coils, control arms and mounts? did the replaced struts put pressure on the parts that were never relpaced?
also for years when i turn the wheel to the left when making a wide left turn the entire chassis jounces up and down in very short choppy, vibrating motions
