There goes all chance of having a civil discussion. Your post above proves that the child here is not me.

No, what you fail to comprehend is that you have never engaged in a civil discussion.

I understand that Toyota will announce today that after extensive testing they do not have a problem with their car's ECU electronics.

Senate hearings on Toyota's UA are on C-SPAN.

It's amazing what stories some of the Senators are telling from constituents in their states. One female Senator told of the story that a woman in her state experienced UA and called 9-1-1 after traveling 80 mph for six miles and the 9-1-1 operator told the driver to "put the vehicle in PARK and cut off the key" - the driver said that worked. That's simply not possible to do! It appears all the Senators believe such crazy stories because no one is willing to challenge these types of stories, much like the crazy testimony given last week to Congress by Rhoda Smith from Tennessee. The reason they are not willing to question or challenge these types of stories is because they have no knowledge of the subject matter. Congress is making uneducated decisions much like a classroom of children would make uneducated decisions pertaining to brain surgery. These bodies of decision-makers need experts to educate them before they can ever be expected to understand the subject matter and make proper decisions. It looks like it won't be until lawsuits hit the courtrooms until the experts will be heard.

Toyota Official Rules Out Electronic Malfunction

"I want to be absolutely clear: As a result of our extensive testing, we do not believe sudden unintended acceleration because of a defect in our [electronic throttle control system] has ever happened," said Takeshi Uchiyamada, who also is a company executive vice president. "However, we will continue to search for any event in which such a failure could occur."

Thank you.

I've mentioned this before, but what's also amazing is how Congress has already made up its mind that Toyota is at fault (culpable, responsible, in-the-wrong) for all the UA incidents, including the incidents where possible sticky gas pedals or all weather floor mats are not an issue. Members of Congress are making statements about Toyota paying liabilities to owners of Toyota and Lexus owners and to families of people that were killed due to (what they claim is) UA. I just can't believe it! With no lawsuit, no expert witnesses, no arguments, and no judge or jury - Congress has decided to be the judge and the jury. Absolutely amazing! And, of course every day that Congress drills Toyota executives with their stupid questions, comments and accusations - the news media reports on it and further damages the company's reputation, which is costing the company billions of dollars. In any other setting that would be considered willfully damaging and slanderous. It makes me wonder if Congress is doing this purposely so they could short TM.
