Mutant strain of E-Coli is undetectable and its toxins has been causing kidney failure in otherwise healthy people. Apparently two Americans returned home from vacation with kidney failure.
Suggest for safety sake only consuming cooked produce and pasturized juices.
So far, the mutant E. coli strain has killed 17 people in Germany and one in Sweden, and sickened more than 1,500 others, including 470 who have developed a rare kidney failure complication. On Thursday Britain's Health Protection Agency says 7 people in the U.K. have been confirmed with the new strain. All of the infected had recently visited Germany.
