codeshare confusion, help please. (airlines, flights, baggage, summer)

domestic one-way flight is as follows,

1. HNL>PDX alaska airlines # 850 depart
2. PDX>ATL alaska airlines # 5599 operated by delta
3. ATL>CLT alaska airlines #5780 operated by delta

My question(s) are 1) since i booked it through travelocity, what happens if I miss a connection? and 2) do I need to recheck my baggage at each leg? and 3) are both flights #2,3 at delta or alaska terminals?

soz for the long post, never done this before. any help is appreciated.

PS. the reason it is one-way is i'm moving

I've done Delta and Alaska Airlines code-shared flights before. They were seamless.

1. If you miss your connection, which happened to me this summer, you'll get rebooked. When I arrived in Seattle on a late Delta flight, thus missing my Alaska Airlines connection, Delta had me rebooked with new boarding passes ready for me the second I got to the info desk. No fuss whatsoever. And I was flying on a cheap-o coach ticket without any status with Delta or Skyteam. The folks at Delta were enormously professional and polite.
2. You won't have to recheck bags since all your flights are domestic.
3. Flights 2 and 3 will be at Delta gates operated by Delta airplanes. You should not have to recheck bags. Upon arrival in PDX, you should only have to walk to your next gate to catch your flight to Atlanta.

Exactly what HRH said. The "operator" is whose colors will be on the plane. Go to the Delta gates and terminal, and you should be golden. The whole point of a codeshare is that you won't have an hassles.

Have a great trip, although I wouldn't want to be leaving HNL this time of year.
