Any Continental flyers here hate dealing with United? I think it is ridiculous

Don't feel bad. We UNITED flyers are getting just as screwed over.

Yes, as a UA million miler, I'm not interested in taking on Continental Baggage.

SWA gets all my domestic business (LUV the free ticket changes and FAST boarding, without being JAMMED into an overhead container) and "bags fly free, of course..."

Last flight the pilot announced, "And Bags fly free!!, you're sitting on $16k worth of Luggage, money we kept in YOUR pocket, Thx for flying SWA"

Not sure when I will be able to take a 737 to China, India, Indonesia, or Thailand

I would prefer THAT route on a Concorde. (or something faster).

As with any merger this one has not been without problems.

Merged United and Continental operations off to a bumpy start

Unfortunately, I have 2 vouchers with Continental/United and don't want to leave money on the table. Naturally, due to the new systems, neither airline could locate my vouchers (even with FF number, date of issue, confirmation codes for both airlines, pin codes for both airlines)...
After 4 weeks of no progress and insane 2+ hour wait times with customer service, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Customer Care "located" the vouchers the following day.

If peoples' jobs weren't on the line, I'd wish they disappear. As in burn to the ground.

Can anyone really name a airline merger that really benefited the customer?

Personally, I always thought that the Northwest Orient - Republic was the worst merger. However, this one may eclipse that one.

Just wait, American and US Airways might be joining at the hip.

If either wants to compete it is bound to happen, United and Delta are just too big.

Delta-NWA merger was worse than Continental-United
