Hi, am hoping someone out there can give some information or advice. I booked two tickets in July for a trip from MKE to LGA on Frontier. They announced today that they are canceling that route as of June 1.
What obligation to do they have to the passengers ticketed on the flights? Do they not have to notify me until June 1? Will I get dinged with charges if I cancel now (before June 1) and rebook on a different airline?
I know some of you have experience with this situation and am hoping you can share your knowledge and advice - thanks!
Then you should be fine. Just give them a call and find out how many hoops you have to jump through to get your refund/book on another flight... includes flaming hoops and hoops that are very high and narrow, but since you purchased the insurance, you should be okay. Good luck!
Thanks, SunsetBeach. Just got off the phone; they're processing a full refund. Have booked new tickets on another airline. All is well! (For now, at least. )

I hope you got as good a deal, we all know these things can not be helped, but boy do they stink....
Frontier is a nice airline with decent customer service. I felt when I flew through them that they genuinely tried to help me out the best they possibly could. Much better than AA

I hope you didn't pay more for the new tickets. Frontier should have rebooked you on another carrier at no additional charge to you.

That would be a nice move for them PR wise, but they certainly habe no obligation to do so.
