What's the best place to search for travel package deals without a particular destination in mind? For example, I want to go somewhere over dates xxx to xxx (usually short-term over a weekend or so) but I don't care where, as long as we leave from Dallas or Houston -- I just want to find a getaway deal for a few days. Is there any website that lets me search like that?

I don't know a lot about vacation packages - maybe you can look at last minute vacation packages on Expedia. Try Groupon getaways for good deals.
But if you want to find cheap flights without picking the destination, try Google Flights:
Puts all the prices on a map without having to enter a destination. Just enter the starting point and the dates. You could even try the I'm feeling lucky option.
Right. I know all the sites that have vacation deals but what I'm looking for is somewhere that I don't have to enter a destination, and rather just go wherever the deals are. You have to enter a destination on most of them, which I've done many times.
That's a really neat website but we've been to every single place on the first 8 pages of it. Pretty much anywhere within a reasonable drive for a weekend/holiday getaway, we've been to already (Texans like to drive!). So I was thinking find a cheap airfare to a location we've not been to, either domestic or international, and spend Thanksgiving there since we already have Wednesday through Friday off from work and the weekend. I'll keep looking and if we are meant to go, something will pop up. Otherwise we will stay home and deep-fry a turkey and rotisserie a ham! :-) Thanks for the other website suggestions too!!!
