It depends on how much money you are talking about. If it was $200 million I'd have multiple homes--small cottage style places or condos that didn't have a ton of upkeep. LA, Napa, Tuscany, Walla Walla, London. As to what I'd do? I would run my charitable foundation to make the world a better place.

I'd spend winters living in Honolulu and summers in Mercer Island, WA. We'd snorkel in Honolulu and float around Mercer Island in Lake WA, Starbucks latte in hand.....

Haha, almost the same as me. Except instead of Mercer Island it would probably be Vancouver, Canada in the summer. I also like Starbucks lattes. Now I'm stuck in Honolulu year round, and to tell you the truth it sucks.

Switzerland is not a bad place to visit / live. (cost not considered)

It is spendy! But quality of life is excellent.

Especially buying a second 'farm' home! (Money will not always BUY you a home! residency / nationalism ties up many countries.

I would either live part of the year in a cool summer climate and part in a nice winter climate, with seasons. But I am happy living right where we do. If I had a never ending supply of money, I would use it for travel more than use it for home expenses.
