Boston? I lived there for years and love it so much. Why do you love it?
We went in the fall to Boston and it was just beautiful. We had a great experience with every person we encountered and felt really welcomed. I hope to go back soon, it was a trip my husband and I truly treasured . =)
The first time my husband and I hiked and camped in Yosemite (about 40 years ago)...far from the madding crowd. The scenery was just incredible and we felt honored to be in nature's glory and to tred where John Muir had...

#1 **Pre-dawn Float trip on Snake River in Tetons**, steam /rising off the river, dead silent, tons of wildlife and sunrise against the Teton range. Cost = ZERO... (in our own raft)
Winter living in Switzerland (ski village) and Christmas markets in Bavaria are nice. Cost = ZERO ... (overseas work assignment)
Home is not so terrible... Cost = ZERO... (rent out the main house and live in guest home). Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area (Portland, OR): Address, Phone Number, Tickets & Tours, Body of Water Reviews - TripAdvisor
International, I prefer mtns, but Langkawi Malaysia and some Islands in Thailand have been pretty nice (free... company work assignment).
South America is on my bucket list, yet to get there.
Cambodia and Myanmar are on my 'short-list'.
I grew up in Estes Park, Colorado. I really appreciate good views, especially in retirement when you can 'sit', and enjoy them!

That looks absolutely amazing...although I would NEVER be brave enough to venture out there alone. Impressed!
Haha!!
Yea, doing what I did that day is not for everyone, and certainly NOT for the faint of heart, but as I always tell others, neverrrrrrr underestimate the lengths to which I will go, to get to a remote and prestine sandbar!
Heck........I have something even more daunting in the cards on a future Bahamas trip!
What is that?
It's a 90 mile trip boat trip, each way, in a similar sized skiff, from Crooked Island to Hogsty Reef and back, as shown on the map below.
Because of the great distance involved, as well as mostly open ocean, I will have to very patiently wait for an almost perfect weather window, and even then, I'm starting off at 6 AM and setting a FIRM turn back time from Hogsty, no later than 1 PM.
For me to call this the "Mt Everest of the Bahamas" would be lacking........
-Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, Berkeley, Downtown Frisco, Sausalito, the Mojave Desert, San Felipe (BC). But it was 30-35 years ago, those places must have changed a lot (and not in a good way).
- Also Puerta Vallarta and Yelapa (Jalisco, Mexico) , a few years ago -it was still great-. Did they finally build that tar road to get to Yelapa by land ? I hope not.
