Mitchell Caverns SP. It is closed for some times. It is a mini-nano carlsbad cavern.
Point Fermin Park, watch whales??? Wind Surfing???
And nearby LA-43 Nike Missile Site/White Point - Royal Palms Beach Park
Wayfarers Chapel
Corona Del Mar State Beach/Corona Beach(kids love this)
Algodones(dentists)
Oso Flaco Lake(kids love this)
Parkfield, watch earthquake.
Kelso Dunes(slide)
Orange County Model Engineer(free chu chu train ride)
Interstate 5 Southbound Rest Area, near USMC(watch fat squirls)
Ocean Institute(nice walk with kids)
There was an oasis(hot spring) along I-8, in the middle of desert, next to freeway.
Don't forget 4 corners of CA.
