Trying to figure out on craigslist if apt rentals are priced weekly or monthly- Europe/Australia/South America (hostel, person)

Just confused about craigslist listings for apt rentals in Europe and Australia, if the price is listed weekly or monthly. I have read that in NZ and Australia they are usually listed weekly, is this true?

Also, how come on craigslist I have noticed they rarely show the exterior of the builiding?

Why Craigslist? There are more reliable sources out there.

My experience when in Australia (Sydney) is that rents on Craiglist are priced weekly unless otherwise specified. However, I hope that you are in Australia and can go check out a place before making a deposit. I was rather desperate and needed to find housing before landing, and ended up falling victim to a scam via Craigslist. Never again will I do an international sight unseen lease via Craiglist or another similar site; I'll stay up at a hostel upon arrival is housing isn't otherwise sorted out prior to my arrival.

I agree with prospect, unless you are going through a reputable and established letting agency, don't rent a place sight unseen.
