This guy's trial date was set for today.

The mom, Corinne Baker, recently pleaded guilty to 2nd-degree murder for standing by and doing nothing while her boyfriend Brandon spent 2 days pummelling her 4-year-old to death for peeing his pants. She even went to a doctor's appointment while it was going on and said nothing. (In Michigan, all doctors now ask you at every appointment whether anyone in the household is being hit or being forced into sexual activity. While she was being asked this question, she knew her boyfriend was kicking her son around the house like a football.)

the judge recently also threw out Brandon's bogus claim that he has schizophrenia. Howcum these guys never develop schizophrenia until after they're arrested, huh?

These people always develop something after the fact ... I just cannot ... for the life of me ... understand how a MOTHER can stand around and allow a boyfriend to beat on, molest and even kill her child.

Having worked with battered women for years, I can tell you that they tend not to question ANYTHING they see happening in front of their eyes. They'll literally tell you that, hey, I got the same treatment as a kid and I didn't die, so why should I expect my own children to die of being treated like that? It must have been God's will. In other words, reality is just not an issue for them.
