If there was ever a time for someone to let out a big "Ah Shiet" after making a big mistake, this was definitely one of those moments:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/news...g-robbery.html

I can just imagine this guy going over procedures in his mind prior to the failed heist:

"hand over bag; pull out gun. hand over bag; pull out gun. . .Oops! Got it backwards! Ah shiet!"

Robber hands gun to cashier by mistake during robbery - Telegraph

The song "Smooth criminal" comes to mind.

He subconsciously wanted to get caught. A slip of tongue in speech or physical action is a Freudian slip.

Agreed. just a klutzy robber who, after this will probably not try it again. Can you imagine the humiliation if the other inmates find out?
