As a person of interest, Welch was denied commutation in Symrna Delaware prison, 2014

Authorities described Welch as a former carnival ride operator and drifter with arrests in several states for sexually assaulting young girls.

Lloyd Welch - also known as Michael Welch - is a child sex offender being held at Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna. Authorities said they had established that Lloyd Lee Welch was at the mall the day the girls vanished and was seen paying attention to them.

I've been fascinated by this case for years. I find it very haunting. I wonder if anything will come out of all of this? It would be wonderful to get some resolution especially for the parents who have lost two daughters and have had to live with this tragedy for so many years. Sheila and Kate are often in my thoughts.
