The USPS really is the only ones with the experience and manpower to get deliveries to residential locations. UPS and FedEx are not in the daily door-to-door business and wouldn't be up to speed in a crunch. It's really the only choice.

After the postal workers make sure their family and friends get their's first and IF they feel like running around after an attack and IF they are alive and IF ..and IF...and IF...
Why would a postal worker deliver anything if they're risking their lives????????

Maybe the Federal Reserve will add a few zeros to their printing press and donate it to the mail people.

ok, so your position is that nobody is qualified or should be put in charge so there is just no point planning for anything. gotcha.

Care to show me where I posted that? Didn't think so.... I didn't.

The armed services of this country who would have all the protective gear/transportation/protection/defense should do it.

A mail carrier?

Why not store clerks or office workers, insurance executives, bankers, ...why not you and your family?????

Armed services? Maybe. But in a real emergency, a NEED TO DO THIS TODAY situation, the USPS is the only one who could come close to getting someting to the most people in the shortest amount of time. I won't be perfect, but it's the truth. The armed services don't have that kind of thing in place and by the time they did...well who knows.

I really don't get the hatred of the USPS. I suspect much of it is just people talking out their ass.

If some of you remember the Anthrax used in 2001 was what they call "weapon grade" and was manufacured in the US so it should have been considered a domestic terrorist attack.
Anthrax occurs naturally in nature but how many Anthrax deaths do you hear of? It has to be so potent to really make it a biological weapon and even if they used a crop duster and spread it over a city I doubt many would get infected or die from it.
