I've read in this forum that perhaps the southwest area of Tucson is a less desirable area to reside in - whether it is due to more crime, drugs, gangs, etc. What I am wondering is whether the undesirable area is confined primarily to the city limits or does this also extend as far out as - say Bopp Rd and San Joaquin Rd?

Thanks!

Are you talking about off of Kinney Road? If so, I don't think there's anything wrong w/that area. I'm a little further southwest of you, in Star Valley.

To me (and there could be differing opinions) parts of Valencia mainly between Mission and I-10 seem a little sketchy (same for Ajo). And, I don't really like the areas around Irvington too much. I'll go to the shopping center on Irvington (closest Petsmart), but I've seen lots of trash and graffiti around the neighboring communities.

Yup, that would be the area I am wondering about. Thanks for your feedback. I didn't think this area had much to worry about, but I wasn't completely sure.

Is there something special around Valencia and Park, or are you just talking about it being a iffy neighborhood?

Well, I wouldn't consider it a particularly lovely neighborhood. Would you?

No, can't say that I would... I was just wondering if they were making a statement or asking a question. I guess my coffee hasn't kicked in yet.
